Joseph W. Fodor is the Chairman of Urban Select Capital Partners Corp. and founding partner of China Select Capital Hong Kong. Mr. Fodor has been based in Vancouver, Canada for the past 15 years and prior to that resided in Toronto, Canada. Mr. Fodor has over 25 years experience in structuring and arranging domestic and international mergers and acquisitions with a diverse group of clients, including Manulife Private Equity, Macquarie, and BNP has been involved with over US$1.3 billion in transactions. He has been a principal in Watershed Capital Partners, Norfolk Capital and Nova Bancorp as well as an executive with the CIT Group (formerly Newcourt Credit) and worked as a practicing lawyer. Mr. Fodor received a B.A. and M.B.A. degree from University of Toronto and completed LL.B from Queens University and Admission to the Bar and Law Society of Upper Canada in 1977.
Min Kuang is the Chief Executive Officer of Urban Select Capital Partners Corp. and founding partner of China Select Capital Hong Kong. Ms. Kuang has over 15 years experience in managing public companies, mergers and acquisitions, business development, and investment management. Ms. Kuang is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Asia Select Asset Management Inc. in Canada and the Chief Executive Officer of Asia Select Investment Fund Inc., a private equity firm established in April 2007, where she is responsible for equity investments, mergers and acquisition transactions, and taking companies public. From 2001 to 2007, Ms. Kuang founded Orient Ventures Ltd., a Vancouver-based investment and financial advisory firm which is engaged in mergers and acquisition transactions in China and Canada. She has been involved in a wide range of technology M&A, joint ventures, and other strategic alliance transactions for resource, clean technology, medical device,and healthcare companies in China, Canada, and the U.S. Ms. Kuang received an M.B.A. from Lawrence Technology University in Michigan and a B.A. degree from China.
David Yoo (柳 珍) is the Chief Financial Officer of Urban Select Capital Partners Corp. and managing director of China Select Capital Hong Kong. From 2008 to 2009, Mr. Yoo served as a managing director and Head of the Americas at SF Investment Co., a Seoul-based private equity firm with assets of over US$500 million. Mr. Yoo was at EarlyBirdCapital from 2004 to 2008 as a vice president in investment banking, where he participated in over 40 public and private equity offerings, raising gross proceeds exceeding US$2.5 billion. He also was a vice president for Dalewood Associates, LP, a private investment fund in the technology, alternative energy, and consumer sectors. Mr. Yoo was previously at Ardour Capital, KPMG International, and the Doosan Group in Korea. He has served as a director and member of the audit committee of Tremisis Energy Acquisition Corp. II (NYSE Amex: TGY) since 2008. Mr. Yoo earned a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.B.A. in finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
Zou Zhendong is Senior Vice President of Urban Select Capital and managing director of China Select Capital Hong Kong. He has more than twelve years cross border investment and financing related legal practice in China, including advising more than 80 corporate deals (including IPO, RTO, M&A, Project Financing, Distressed Asset Restructuring, MBO, FDI etc.) and a number of high profile investment related arbitration/ litigation cases, in addition to six years hands-on business and diplomatic experiences; His experience covers exit at stock exchanges as Nasdaq, TSX, Frankfurt, HongKong and number of other markets as well as PE / VC investments in early growth stage companies. As the Senior Partner of Sinowing Law LLP, he leads its M&A team and practice actively in Mining, TMT, Renewable Energy and CleanTech related deals, in addition to legislation monitoring ever since last decade. He is a Fellow of the Cross-Border Investment Committee of Beijing Lawyers’ Association, awarded the title of “Master of International Business” by Moftec (aka MOFCOM). He frequently speaks at international forums such as Mine & Money Asia, China International Mining Conferences, Asia Nonferrous Dialogue, TeleChina Investment Forum, PTC and other events. Mr. ZOU is a graduate from the Renmin University and exposed to extensive working experiences in common law practice in London firms.
